Grassroots Prospecting

The Case Lake Property is located 80 km east of Cochrane, Ontario.

The Case Lake Property covers the contact of the Case Lake Batholith with surrounding metasediments and metavolcanics. The Case LCT pegmatite system is located 2-6 km east of the property boundary, hosted within the Case Lake Batholith. The Case LCT pegmatite system is the fifth largest lithium rich pegmatite system in the Superior Province of Ontario.

The area covered by the property is historically underexplored, with the exception of the metasediments and metavolcanics which were historically explored for base metals and precious metals and historic pits and trenches can be found. No township scale geological maps are available for the majority of the property, surprising given its close proximity to known LCT pegmatites.

Next steps include grassroots prospecting to identify the location and document the characteristics of pegmatites present on the property, as well as sampling for geochemical analysis to determine the degree and direction of fractionation, and test for the presence of rare-element mineralization.
